The Five Success Principles

What's the difference between a person who dreams about their health and someone who achieves the dream of fitness? What I'm going to teach you WILL change your life. Not might, but WILL. International writer and teacher John C Maxwell, the author of over 72 books on success principles, teaches some game-changing principles that will without a doubt change your life.

He teaches that there are five rules that can really make an impact on your life, and that is what this article is going to focus on. He shares a story that may help you think about your success in different terms. Pretend that there is a tree in your backyard that you need to cut down, so you get an ax ready for the job.

Then you walk up to the tree and swing your ax at it five time and then stop for the day. However, the next day you do it again: five more swings at the tree. Then you stop again. The following day you do the exact same thing. You swing five times and call it a day.

So what do you think would happen if you did this day after day after day? If you applied discipline and were very consistent with your actions-what would be the result? The result is that the tree would eventually fall down. A large tree may take longer to fall down that a small tree, but eventually it absolutely will come down.

The question is- what is your "fitness" tree? What is your goal that you want to master when it comes to your fitness, happiness and health? It doesn't matter if your tree is 10lbs or 100lbs, running a 5k or marathon, it will fall if you take the right action.

Those right actions are the rule of five. Every day you need to stretch out your body, eat healthy food, drink eighty ounces of water, spend thirty minutes exercising and sleep for at least seven to eight hours. If you practice these actions, you will be on your way to success.
